natural soap cleaner on leaves

Surfactants

A fancy word for substances that reduce surface tension and help solvents work. Many household soils are oil and protein-based and need a quality blend of surfactants to aid in their removal.

Near ubiquitous, they’re used in a wide range of products from cleaners to toothpaste.

We’ve partnered with an industry-leading producer of bio-fermented surfactants, which has allowed us to reduce/eliminate palm and coconut oils from our products. Our main ingredients are renewable, up-cycled, palm/petroleum/synthetic free.

They also just happen to be among the most effective surfactants ever produced.

Excellent!

natural cleaning with lemons

Citric acid

We use citric acid as a de-scaling, preservative, and chelating agent.

Basically, it’s pretty important in keeping your house clean naturally. Used properly, organic acids also display anti-microbial properties that rival those of synthetic disinfectants.

Our Sink/Tub/Tile product is fairly unique. We spent a long time formulating to get it just right. Citric acid makes our formula effective in maintaining areas prone to scale/soap scum while providing a broad spectrum germ-fighting boost. It’s much safer than the commercially available de-scaling agents containing sulfamic and hydrochloric acids.

green cleaning with essential oils

Essential Oils

We use natural, therapeutic grade oils for our cleaners. No artificial scents or overpowering “fragrance”.

Our oil blends not only provide an aromatherapy boost to your cleaning routine but also provide proven disinfectant qualities on surfaces.

Our formulas include small quantities of essential oils and are designed to be safe, pleasant, and effective. They are not strongly scented, so don’t expect a house-filling rush of synthetic fragrance like many others. We think mild is better.
